Dear Rotaractors,
Dear Rocking Rotaractors of RI Dist. 3170, As Rotaract Year 2010-11 comes to a close, I thank ALL of you for your valuable support during my tenure as the DRR. Being at the helm of affairs of D.3170 was very enlightening on the whole. We had some exciting times, some frustrating times too. The learning experience was priceless. We saw places, met people and saw viewpoints we never knew existed. Amidst a series of firsts that we laid down this year, we doubled the number of active clubs to 53, and each of these 53 clubs holds a very special place in my heart for a special reason. And so does each of you 2200 Rotaractors. We made a lot of friends this year, and we hope those friendships last forever. There were grudges too; I hope those fade away at the stroke of midnight! Through the nerve wracking events, meetings, visits and overnight drives, I am sure I and my team have said or done things that have hurt feelings, caused a lot of acrimony, and for all that I apologise from my heart. Let those aberrations not mar the wonderful Rotaract experience that we have shared together. There's a lot more I wish I could say, but beyond a point words cease to have meaning. This is one of those times. On behalf of my entire team, I wish DRR (E) Sairaj and team all the best for the incoming year, and promise our unstinting support and guidance, should any be needed. We have done our best to take the Rotaract movement in our district to a whole new level in 2010-11. We hope in 2011-12 you do even better. Keep wearing that ROTARACTOR pin, and wear it with PRIDE.
